Dell Latitude D830 Battery Best Answer:

I copied this directly from the owner’s manual of my Inspiron Laptop…should be the same for a Latitude.

If the battery status light flashes orange or is a steady orange the DELL Latitude D531 battery charge is low or depleted. Connect the computer to an electrical outlet. If the battery status light flashes green and orange, the battery is too hot to charge. Shut down the computer, disconnect the computer from the electrical outlet, and then let the battery and computer cool to room temperature.

If the battery status light rapidly flashes orange, the laptop battery may be defective. Contact Dell.

Other Answer

Hi. That flash code means your DELL Precision M65 battery is near the end of its lifetime. Weak and not rechargeable. You probably need a replacement battery. As far as removing the battery, make sure the latch on the bottom is completely pushed to the un-lock position. Have someone hold it there while you pull the battery out. If it STILL won’t come out you may need a small screwdriver to help it along. If you do this try to have any damage on the DELL 310-9122 battery, not the case, because you may be replacing this anyway.
